So I found a link to this compilation album in my inbox. I love metal. I love Smash. They had to go hand in hand right?

RIGHT

Specifically, I was messaged by @areyouafraidofthedog, who contributed to “Dreamland Symphony,” alongside Star Cutter. The track is a lovely proggy tribute to our favorite bottomless pit, and is only one piece to the masterpiece of the compilation album.

Smash 64 is a compilation album by 14 artists giving Smash inspired tracks a metalcore spin. The entire track list is a unique experience, but “She Wants the D-Pad” and the Mater Hand theme are definitely keep. “Got Item” is quite the banger as well. The chorus to “Donkeys and Kongs” is breakdown heaven.
